About the role

• URI Digital Technologies is building its core team in Baku and we need a short-form video editor for the content side.
• Heads up: this is not a typical SMM role.
• We have an internal system called Portal that produces content ideas and feeds you ready-made 1–4 minute videos. You don’t have to find clips or cut long footage — Portal hands you the raw material.
• Your job is to polish that material into short-form that actually stops the scroll: take ordinary videos and turn them into captivating posts for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• All content is in English, for the US audience. Editing is the main skill. Basic SMM understanding is required on top.

What the work looks like

• Take Portal’s 1–4 minute videos and polish them into short-form
• Captions, hooks, music, transitions, effects — turn raw footage into something captivating
• Adapt the same piece across platforms (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
• Write and rewrite captions, CTAs, hashtags
• Hold the brand voice steady across everything
• Catch what the AI or source footage got wrong before it ships
• Use Portal and our AI workflows day to day

What you need

Must have

• A portfolio with concrete short-form work you personally edited. Without one we can’t move forward.
• CapCut for fast turnarounds, plus at least one desktop tool (Premiere, DaVinci, or Final Cut) for complex edits
• Confident written and spoken English — you’ll be writing captions, CTAs and judging brand voice daily
• Basic SMM literacy — how feeds and short-form work, what gets engagement, why a video lands or flops
• Real hands-on time with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney or similar)
• A sense for short-form: what makes someone stop scrolling, what’s landing right now
• Accurate, takes the work seriously, picks things up fast

Nice to have

• Deeper SMM or paid ads experience (Meta Ads, Google Ads). A strong plus — we can develop the marketing side further if the editing is strong.

• 3-month paid probation, then permanent role on the core team — we’re looking for long-term, not short-term

Two things to flag

• Your own laptop at the start. Company equipment is planned but not in place yet.
