We are a freight forwarding company with registered office in Azerbaijan, specializing in providing transportation logistics solutions to meet our clients’ global supply chain needs: Chief Accountant
Location: Baku
Industry: Freight Forwarding / Transportation and Logistics
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Overseeing the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and tax preparation
- Ensuring compliance with Azerbaijani accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as required
- Liaising with tax authorities and auditors.
- Submission of monthly ,quarterly and yearly tax declarations .
- Experience with 1C accounting software is mandatory
- Experience using ERP software.
- VAT Calculation, filing and reconciliations of VAT return
- Income tax calculation and yearly .return filing
- Invoicing and coordination with customers.
- Payment’s processing and coordination with vendors
- Payroll & HR management /EMAS in line with Azerbaijan Labor and Tax Laws
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a qualified accountant, with experience in a similar role.
- Azerbaijan accounting attestation as per the government requirements.
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both written and verbal). Knowledge of Russian will be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Excel
- Up-to-date knowledge of Azerbaijani tax laws and regulations
- Experience in logistics industry will be a plus
