Deputy Chief Accountant

We are hiring a Deputy Chief Accountant to join our team at Absheron Automotive Center, the official Mercedes-Benz dealer in Azerbaijan. If you have strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Requirements:

• Higher education in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements
• High level of responsibility, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Fluency in Russian is mandatory; English proficiency is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and implementation of the company’s accounting policies
• Ensure accurate recording of business transactions in accounting and tax records
• Review primary accounting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies
• Supervise specific accounting areas, including inventory, VAT, fixed assets, supplier/dealer settlements, import operations, and others
• Prepare and submit reports to tax authorities, statistical agencies, and other regulatory bodies in coordination with the Chief Accountant
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and Mercedes-Benz representatives
• Participate in the automation and optimization of accounting and tax processes, including preparation of technical requirements and system testing
• Collaborate with other departments on accounting-related matters
• Monitor the correct accounting treatment of vehicle sales, spare parts, service operations, commission-based and dealership activities
• Oversee settlements with suppliers, dealers, and customers, including contracts related to Mercedes-Benz
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting control procedures and document flow regulations
• Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of accounting staff
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant
• Act as Chief Accountant during their absence
