Business Need/Job Purpose:

• The Electrical Engineer supports the design, analysis, and specification of MV electrical systems for the HBI project and ensures trouble-free operation . This position is required to begin work during the basic design phase and throughout subsequent project phases.

Main responsibilities: 

Including but not limited to:

• Technical support for the project (coordination of design solutions, selection of equipment, coordination of technical parameters and characteristics, equipment configuration) in accordance with the instructions of the Lead Electrical Engineer.
• Coordination with technology, mechanical, C & I and construction teams.
• Analysis of design documentation with comments and suggestions.
• Assistance in development of SLDs , load lists and grounding systems.
• Testing and analysis of electrical circuits and protection circuits.
• Development and approval of technical proposals from potential suppliers of electrical equipment with supplier assessment.
• Organizing joint work with the pre-production department at the stage of selecting equipment suppliers and processing applications necessary for the execution of design and installation work
• Provision of equipment for installation .
• Participation in acceptance committees for equipment and materials
• Organizing the removal of equipment from the warehouse to the construction site
• Control over the supply of equipment
• Support of installation and commissioning works.
• Acceptance of specialized equipment (after installation)
• Organization of pre-commissioning audit and supply of voltage to equipment
• Responsibility for the timing and quality of installation and commissioning of specialized equipment
• Resolving current issues (participation in negotiations, meetings, etc.)
• Project implementation.

Professional knowledge / Education / Qualifications and skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from a reputable engineering university.
• Many years of experience: 5-8 years in the field of operation of electrical equipment and electrical systems with voltage MV , as well as in the framework of engineering and design work.
• Previous experience in designing and commissioning electrical systems.
• Certificates/Licenses (if applicable): Not required

Technical skills / software

• Past experience in design and commissioning
• Introduction to ETAP / SKM / PowerFactory (basic level).
• Understanding IEC/IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Soft skills – problem solving, teamwork, communication.

• Attention to detail; ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

Language proficiency:

• Knowledge of the Azerbaijani language is required, knowledge of English and/or Russian is an advantage.

Other skills and abilities

• Strong discipline, experience working with local regulatory processes.
