Quality Control Inspector (Coating & Painting)

We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector (Coating & Painting) to join a major international offshore Oil & Gas project.

Location: Offshore

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coating and painting inspections and quality control activities during offshore construction and installation works.
• Ensure all coating and painting activities comply with project specifications, international codes, standards, Quality Control Plans (QCP), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Inspect materials, equipment, and installation activities in accordance with approved procedures.
• Prepare quality records and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required.
• Verify proper storage of materials and calibration certificates for inspection equipment.
• Inspect surface preparation before coating and painting activities.
• Monitor atmospheric conditions prior to painting operations.
• Perform wet and dry film thickness measurements.
• Verify coating systems, color coding, and painting quality.
• Conduct visual inspections, adhesion testing, penetration testing, and impact testing.
• Perform inspections before and after blasting operations.
• Maintain complete inspection documentation and quality records for the final As-Built dossier.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with approved quality procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Higher education degree.
• Minimum 3 ears of experience in the Oil & Gas construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of coating and painting inspection standards, surface preparation, blasting, coating systems, and quality documentation.
• Experience performing film thickness measurements, adhesion testing, and coating inspections.
• Fluency in English and Azerbaijani.
• Previous offshore project experience will be considered a strong advantage.
