The National Artificial Intelligence Center (NAIC), operating under the Transport and Communication Holding (“AZCON Holding”), promotes research and development in the field of artificial intelligence in Azerbaijan. The Center aims to accelerate digital transformation through the implementation and scaling of AI technologies.

YOUR MISSION & IMPACT:

• Product & Architecture: Join a cross-functional team (QA, PM, Business Analyst) to design, build, and continuously improve high-performance, scalable backend solutions built for large-scale user bases.
• Clean Code & Tech Stack: Write clean, secure, testable, and high-quality code utilizing the Java and Spring Boot (Core, Web, Security, Data JPA/Hibernate) ecosystem.
• Reducing Ambiguity: Translate complex business needs and product ideas into clear, effective, and optimized technical solutions (taking Big O notation into account) while managing technical risks and dependencies.
• Engineering Culture: Actively participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and share industry best practices (Design Patterns, SOLID principles) within the team.
• Mentorship & Growth: Guide and support Junior engineers by providing constructive feedback—helping others grow while continuously leveling up your own professional skills.
• Documentation & Knowledge Base: Clearly document newly developed internal/external APIs and fundamental system changes in the company’s knowledge base (Swagger, Confluence, etc.).

YOU’RE THE PERFECT FIT IF:

• Education & Experience: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred), along with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong Java & Framework Skills: You possess deep knowledge of Core Java, OOP principles (Inheritance, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, Abstraction), Collections, Multithreading, and Stream API; you can independently set up Spring Boot configurations.
• Modern Architecture & Data Competency: You are experienced with Microservice architecture principles, along with synchronous/asynchronous inter-service communication; you can design data models and perform Query Optimization across both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Integration & Infrastructure Hands-on: You have a solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and secure RESTful API design; you have hands-on experience with Docker (Dockerfile/Docker Compose), Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, and caching strategies using Redis/Memcached.
• Analytical Mindset & Troubleshooting: You excel at debugging, profiling, and analyzing bugs in Staging and Production environments using logs (Logback, ELK Stack) and metrics (Prometheus, Grafana) to find the root cause and deploy long-term solutions.
• Team Mindset & Agility: You enjoy working in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment using Jira/Confluence; you take ownership, welcome feedback, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and maintain a cool head to make sound technical decisions during high-stress incidents.
• Language Proficiency: You possess native/excellent Azerbaijani language skills, alongside Technical English proficiency to seamlessly research documentation and global resources.
