MQS MMC Civil / Steel Structure Estimation and Tender Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Steel Structure Estimation and Tender Engineer to join our Tendering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, calculating accurate material take-offs (MTO), preparing cost estimations, and compiling comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for steel structure and civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and structural drawings (BOQ, RFP etc).
- Perform precise quantity take-offs for steel structures, connections, welding, and associated civil works.
- Prepare detailed cost estimations, including materials, fabrication, transportation, installation, and labor costs.
- Source quotations from local and international suppliers/subcontractors and perform commercial evaluations.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender proposals in compliance with client requirements.
- Coordinate with the design and project management teams to clarify technical requirements.
- Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits if required.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel estimation, tendering, or cost engineering.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures (ability to read, analyze, and extract data from models/drawings).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (for complex estimation sheets and data analysis).
- Strong understanding of civil construction, steel fabrication and erection processes, international standards.
Languages: Fluency in Azerbaijani and strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal) to review international tender documents and communicate with foreign clients and suppliers.
Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and qualifications).
