• Ensure the Company's operations comply with applicable environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, and environmental permit conditions;
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001;
• Conduct regular environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and audits across mining and processing operations;
• Collect, analyze, and prepare reports based on environmental monitoring data;
• Support surface water monitoring, water balance management, and Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) prevention initiatives;
• Supervise waste management activities, including hazardous waste handling and disposal;
• Participate in environmental monitoring activities related to Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF);
• Support progressive rehabilitation, topsoil management, and mine closure activities;
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions;
• Liaise with government authorities and prepare environmental reports and other required documentation;
• Organize environmental awareness and training activities for employees and contractors;
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental protection and sustainability.

Xüsusi tələblər

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant discipline;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management within the mining, extractive, or heavy industry sectors;
• Sound knowledge of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international environmental standards;
• Practical experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS);
• Knowledge of water resource management, waste management, environmental monitoring, and mine rehabilitation;
• Experience in environmental risk assessment and environmental incident investigation;
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• English language proficiency is considered an advantage;
• Preference will be given to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
