Business Need / Purpose of Role: 

• The IFRS Manager leads and manages IFRS accounting and reporting functions in full compliance with IFRS, ensures consistency of accounting treatment across the Company.
• The role assumes timely preparation of IFRS-based financial information and reports, support to management, auditors and other stakeholders on complex accounting and reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities: 

Including but not limited to:

• Preparation and review of IFRS-compliant financial statements, notes, and related disclosures on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as well as on an ad hoc basis upon request from shareholders and other interested parties;
• Development and implementation of accounting policies for IFRS and contribution to non-IFRS accounting policies;
• Implementation of compliance with all applicable IFRS standards, interpretations and applicable regulatory requirements;
• Developing, maintaining and updating the Company’s IFRS accounting policies and reporting procedures;
• Monitoring and assessment of new and amended IFRS standards and its impacts on the Company’s statements, policies, reporting procedures;
• Provision of expert guidance on complex accounting issues, incl. capitalized expenses, revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, impairment, FX, fair value measurements, etc.;
• Review contracts, transactions and business initiatives from the perspective of IFRS recognition and disclosure;
• Implementation of new IFRS standards and changes in accounting policies;
• Preparation of management memos and impact assessment for significant contracts and unusual transactions;
• Coordination of bookkeeping procedures and management accounting procedures to ensure effective and consistent approaches and procedure for statutory, management and IFRS-based reporting;
• Improvement of IFRS reporting processes, templates and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency;
• Interaction with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Operations to ensure proper accounting treatment of business transactions;
• Active participation and support of ERP/reporting system implementation based on IT-solutions from an IFRS perspective;
• Management of external and internal audits in close cooperation with CFO;
• Promotion of best practices in financial reporting and compliance;

Job Knowledge/ Education/ Qualifications & Skills 

Education and/or Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s preferred); 
• Professional qualification ACCA/CPA Member equivalent is required, other qualifications will be considered as advantage;
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in companies with international/global presence, including senior leadership in IFRS reporting and audit;
• Deep knowledge and strong expertise in IFRS accounting and reporting;
• Proven ability to manage complex IFRS reporting and audits, cross-functional projects of implementing IT/ERP solutions for accounting and reporting;
• Big-4 audit/advisory background is an advantage

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS office

Language Skills: Fluent in English.

Other Skills and Abilities: 

• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• High attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent command of English and proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools;
