Procurement and Logistics Department Manager

Job Summary

• The Procurement and Logistics Department Manager is responsible for leading the Company's procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations. This role oversees the optimization of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, supply risk mitigation, and the efficient execution of logistics activities to ensure business continuity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Company's procurement, logistics, and supply chain strategies;
• Lead domestic and international procurement activities, tender processes, and commercial negotiations;
• Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic supplier relationships to ensure long-term business partnerships;
• Oversee contract preparation, execution, and supplier performance management;
• Manage import, export, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics operations to ensure efficiency and continuity;
• Drive cost optimization initiatives, manage procurement and supply chain risks, and implement continuous improvement projects;
• Ensure effective inventory management and uninterrupted supply of materials to support production operations;
• Manage procurement processes through ERP/SAP systems and prepare analytical reports for senior management;
• Lead, develop, and evaluate the department's performance while ensuring the achievement of established KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
• 10 years of professional experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management, including at least 5 years in a managerial position;
• Experience in heavy industry, metallurgy, or large-scale manufacturing companies is highly preferred;
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or other internationally recognized procurement and supply chain certifications are considered an advantage;
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract management, and international logistics;
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM, SAP S/4HANA, or other ERP systems;
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian at a professional level;
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
