Role
- Provide 2nd level technical support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our solutions. Perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, and deliver on-site technical support within the assigned regions. Carry out Repair Center activities.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide 2nd level support for all types of technical issues
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and problems within defined service levels
- Perform user management and routine system administration tasks
- Respond to requests from other technical teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues
- Coordinate service activities with other Field Service Technicians
- Perform system monitoring activities
- Test new releases and system upgrades
- Install, configure, optimize and maintain systems and applications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Support the continuous development of technical skills within local teams
- Act as a point of contact (SPOC) between Level 2 and Level 3 support teams
- Define and develop maintenance-oriented KPIs
- Perform periodic calibrations
This also involves:
- Identify situations requiring urgent attention and escalate appropriately
- Coordinate deployments with other operational units and teams
- Provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work outside business hours and be available for on-call support based on business needs
- Support or lead new deployments when required
Profile
- Technical or Engineering degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a factory or industrial environment
- Proficient in English
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to diagnose and analyse mechanical, electrical and application issues, including log analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows environments
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Meticulous and well-organized
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel at short notice and undertake mid-term assignments abroad
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields is a plus:
- Experience in troubleshooting computer networks
- Knowledge of IT support tools such as FTP, SSH, Putty, SVN and remote access solutions
- Knowledge of standard IT support procedures and tools
- Basic knowledge of PLC setup and programming
- Knowledge of fuel industry specifications
- Experience with analytical laboratory practices and techniques
