Subsea Pre-Commissioning Engineer

Job Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Subsea Pre-Commissioning Engineer to support offshore pipeline projects by planning, coordinating, and supervising hydrotesting and pre-commissioning activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering documentation, technical coordination, subcontractor management, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation, procedures, and methodologies for hydrotesting and pre-commissioning activities.
• Develop operational schedules in coordination with project teams.
• Perform engineering calculations and select materials, consumables, and equipment.
• Support the design and fabrication of temporary equipment required for operations.
• Evaluate subcontractor technical proposals and participate in contractor selection.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Supervise onshore and offshore hydrotesting and pre-commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and project requirements.
• Prepare mobilization, demobilization, and service requests.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or another Oil & Gas related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipeline pre-commissioning.
• Experience with subsea pipeline flooding, cleaning, gauging, and hydrotesting.
• Offshore pre-commissioning experience.
• Experience with vessel-based spreads and subsea units.
• Knowledge of fluid handling interfaces (flanges, fittings, hot stabs).
• Familiarity with engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to prepare engineering documentation and technical procedures.
• Fluent Azerbaijani and English.
