Position Overview

• The Design Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all design activities across assigned projects, ensuring that architectural and technical design solutions meet client requirements, project objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role works closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated, functional, and constructible design solutions that support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design activities throughout all project phases, from concept development to construction completion.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and other design disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free design deliverables.
• Monitor design schedules, deliverables, reviews, and approvals to ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Review and validate design submissions for completeness, quality, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.
• Participate in tender processes by reviewing drawings, specifications, and BOQs and providing technical input during bid preparation.
• Manage design changes, ensuring proper documentation, coordination, and assessment of schedule and cost impacts.
• Support constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
• Establish and maintain design coordination procedures, quality standards, and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate design-related risks that may impact project schedules, quality, or budget.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings and ensure timely resolution of design issues.
• Monitor compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Oversee external design consultants and internal design resources to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design processes and project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. International project experience and foreign education are mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in design and architecture, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

​​​​​​​Technical Skills

• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Deep understanding of construction methods, fit-out projects, materials, building regulations, and design standards.

• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English is required.
• Proficiency in Russian is an advantage.
