Fabrication Engineer (Large-scale offshore/onshore steel structures fabrication & assemblies)

• Supervise fabrication, assembly and installation activities at fabrication workshops and yards
• Oversee installation processes including jackets, topsides, pipelines and related works
• Ensure coordination between fabrication, assembly, installation, erection and preparatory activities
• Coordinate subcontractors involved in assembly and installation works
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
• Identify and implement efficient technical solutions
• Provide quantitative data for report preparation
• Supervise fabrication of steel structures, structural supports, piping systems and pipelines in accordance with project specifications
• Monitor on-site and off-site fabrication activities through the main contractor
• Prepare assurance reports on project progress, safety, quality and cost
• Provide technical input for documentation, including risks, lessons learned and constructability
• Coordinate with the construction team and third-party manufacturers regarding safety, progress, schedule, quality and cost
• Promote project HSE objectives
• Participate in the risk management process
• Attend task risk assessment meetings
• Lead the fabrication inspection team covering steel structure and piping fabrication, HSE, quality, schedule and cost
• Ensure fabrication activities are completed within approved schedules and budgets
• Develop and maintain the Lessons Learned Register and Issue Log
• Coordinate painting, sandblasting, coating and passive fire protection activities
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Perform other assigned duties

Xüsusi tələblər

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferably in Engineering & Construction)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication, construction, inspection and commissioning within the oil and gas industry
• Experience in the same position on at least 5 projects
• Experience with offshore platform jackets, gas processing plants, gas gathering projects and pipelines
• Knowledge of fabrication and construction contracts, contractor inspection procedures and construction sequencing
• Knowledge of ASME, DOT, API, OSHA and AWS codes and standards
• Proficiency in MS Project for project planning
• Knowledge of BS, EN and OSHA safety legislation
• Awareness of behavior-based field safety programs
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of fabrication engineering disciplines, especially steel structures and pipelines
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, BS and EN standards
• Excellent knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, MS Project and Tekla Structures
• Knowledge of PDMS, SAP and SACS is an advantage
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, construction industry and applicable international and local regulations and standards
• Experience in fabrication of Jackets and Topsides
• Experience in offshore installation of Jackets and Topsides
• Strong managerial, negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work with multinational teams
• Flexible and willing to perform additional duties and work irregular hours
• BOSIET and Offshore Medical Certificate (OMC-OGUK)
• Fluency in English and Azerbaijani
