Head of Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Geological engineering teams.
• Develop engineering standards, governance procedures, and quality assurance processes.
• Oversee engineering activities throughout all project phases, from feasibility studies and design to construction, commissioning, and project handover.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical documentation, and key engineering decisions.
• Support project development, investment evaluations, technical due diligence, and engineering risk assessments.
• Coordinate engineering activities with EPC contractors, consultants, technology providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with international engineering standards, local regulations, HSE requirements, and industry best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement, engineering innovation, and process optimization across the organization.
• Mentor, develop, and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant Engineering discipline.
• Master's degree or relevant professional certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power engineering, and grid interconnection.
• Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Microsoft Excel, and similar engineering tools.
• Strong background in technical due diligence, project optimization, engineering governance, and QA/QC.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
