Inventory Database Specialist

Role Synopsis:

• The Inventory Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of inventory master data within the company's database and ERP systems. This role supports inventory control, procurement, and operational processes by ensuring that product information, specifications, and supplier data are properly managed and maintained.

Key Accountabilities:

• Input, update, and maintain SKU (Stock Keeping Unit), location, pricing, and supplier information within the database and ERP systems.
• Review product specifications and verify compliance with company standards and requirements.
• Monitor and validate product codes, descriptions, attributes, and specifications to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, duplicate records, and other inconsistencies.
• Maintain clean and accurate master data by correcting erroneous entries and eliminating duplicates.
• Support the Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) creation processes to prevent data-related issues, including duplicate orders and incorrect item creation.
• Review and verify the creation of new item master records based on information received from Procurement and originating departments.
• Prepare regular reports on data quality issues, duplicate records, inconsistencies, and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data governance and master data management processes.

Desired background:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, inventory management, business administration or related field. 
• Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is an advantage.  
• Familiarity with inventory control principles such as First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and ABC analysis and specs building standards and principles.

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English is required; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and analyze discrepancies within large datasets.
• Understanding of product specification management and item master data standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
