Role
- The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities required to support SICPA's operations in Azerbaijan. This role ensures the efficient and compliant movement, storage and tracking of equipment, spare parts and consumables, while maintaining strong relationships with logistics service providers and ensuring uninterrupted operational support.
Logistics Operations
- Deploy logistics processes in line with Group standards and implement supporting procedures and systems locally.
- Coordinate and oversee incoming international shipments, including customs clearance activities and transportation to operational sites.
- Manage local deliveries of equipment, spare parts and consumables, including dangerous goods, across multiple locations.
- Ensure timely availability and delivery of equipment and spare parts in accordance with installation schedules, maintenance plans and operational forecasts.
- Coordinate the distribution of consumables to support continuous business operations.
- Oversee reverse logistics activities for defective, surplus or obsolete equipment, including return shipments to suppliers or other designated destinations.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Ensure accurate physical and electronic tracking of equipment, spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain complete and accurate logistics documentation, including goods receipt records and delivery confirmations.
- Organize and monitor regular inventory counts in collaboration with Finance and ensure inventory accuracy.
Supplier & Compliance Management
- Select, manage and develop relationships with local logistics, transportation and customs service providers.
- Maintain service agreements and monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels.
- Ensure compliance with local import/export regulations and customs requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations related to the storage, handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, reliability and compliance.

Profile
- University degree or technical training in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Technical background (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics or similar) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics and inventory management best practices.
- Experience operating supply chain processes in operational environments.
- Experience with inventory management systems or ERP solutions (SAP is a strong advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments and familiarity with LEAN practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Fluent in English (C1 level required); fluent in Azerbaijani.
