Senior Lawyer / Senior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate, commercial, contractual, labor, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Ensure the company's operations comply with applicable Azerbaijani legislation and internal policies.
• Identify legal risks and develop practical, business-oriented solutions to mitigate them.
• Represent the company before state authorities, regulatory bodies, courts, and other institutions where required.
• Support corporate governance matters, including preparation of corporate documents, resolutions, and regulatory filings.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors on strategic projects and complex legal matters.
• Assist management in legal aspects of business development, procurement, and commercial negotiations.
• Provide legal guidance and support to various departments across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law (Master's degree or other postgraduate qualification is an advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of professional legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment or reputable law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Azerbaijani corporate, commercial, labor, and civil legislation.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong business acumen and ability to provide practical legal advice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and Azerbaijani is mandatory. Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
