Senior Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Senior Consultant to join our team, playing a crucial role in delivering top-tier tax reporting, financial accounting and reporting services to our clients.

Job description:

• Lead and manage multiple accounting outsourcing, financial reporting and tax compliance projects for clients across various industries;
• Oversee all accounting/bookkeeping operations and manage the month-end closing procedures;
• Review tax returns and other statutory reports prepared by junior team members;
• Prepare period-end financial reports in accordance with IFRS, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income and Statement of Cash Flows, where included in the client’s scope of services;
• Coordinate and supervise tax audit projects, provide instructions and guidance to junior staff, and prepare tax audit reports outlining key findings, tax exposures and associated risks;
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks;
• Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner;
• Participate in client meetings, conference calls and discussions;
• Ensure that all deliverables are prepared in line with applicable legislation, accounting standards, internal quality requirements and agreed deadlines.

Candidate requirements:

• University degree in economics, finance, accounting and/or other related disciplines;
• Advanced knowledge in tax and labour legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in financial accounting;
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in the related filed;
• Upper intermediate level of English (Russian is desirable);
• Professional qualification/certificates is an advantage (such as ACCA, CIMA, DipIFR, PMS)
• Advanced skills and working experience in MS Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and 1C accounting software (other accounting software is an advantage);
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet the deadlines;
• Problem-solving and decision- making skills.
