Learning Support Teacher in Secondary School

The International School of Azerbaijan is pleased to announce an opening for a Learning Support Teacher position in the Secondary School to start in August 2026.

The Secondary School Learning Support Teacher identifies, supports, and advocates for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have equitable access to the curriculum and can achieve their full potential in an inclusive environment. Working closely with educators, families, and students, the teacher will develop and implement tailored support strategies to ensure that all students, including those with learning differences or additional needs, can fully engage with the curriculum. The Job Description of the position can be accessed here

Required Characteristics:

• University degree
• Teacher Certification
• Teaching experience with special educational needs
• Excellent English Language knowledge (advanced high level)

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience and training with the IB or other inquiry-based programs
• A formal qualification in Special Educational Needs or related field
• Experience of teaching in an international school
