We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Director to join one of AFI Group companies. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end operational and commercial activities across the business, ensuring effective coordination between agricultural operations, production, and commercial functions while driving operational excellence, sustainable growth, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations across agricultural, production, and commercial functions.
• Translate business strategy into operational plans and ensure effective execution across all departments.
• Establish operational priorities, KPIs, and governance processes to support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain an effective planning, reporting, and performance review framework.

Business Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Ensure production planning, harvest scheduling, processing capacity, and commercial commitments are fully aligned.
• Coordinate operational and commercial planning to balance supply capabilities with market demand.
• Resolve operational and commercial challenges to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with functional leaders to support informed decision-making and business planning.

Operations Management

• Oversee agricultural operations, including production planning, agronomy, harvest coordination, mechanization readiness, processing activities, and resource utilization.
• Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvements in productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Promote sustainable operating practices, including efficient resource and water management.
• Ensure operational risks are identified and mitigated in a timely manner.

Organizational Development

• Design and continuously improve the organizational structure to support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate organizational needs and determine when functions should be expanded, restructured, outsourced, or brought in-house.
• Develop and enhance operational and management reporting to provide leadership with accurate, timely, and actionable business insights.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture across the organization.

Tələblər

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 8–10 years of leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or a related industry.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and leading large-scale business operations.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Experience implementing operational improvements and performance management systems.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding with the ability to balance operational capacity and business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems is considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required; Russian and/or Azerbaijani will be considered an advantage.
