Operations Planning Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Planning Specialist to join one of AFI Group companies. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient planning and coordination of orchard operations and processing activities, including production planning, operational reporting, harvest coordination, resource planning, and continuous process improvement to ensure efficient agricultural operations and reliable supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Planning

• Develop and maintain production plans covering the full agricultural cycle, including cultivation, irrigation, crop protection, harvesting, and processing activities.
• Monitor production progress and identify deviations from operational plans.
• Coordinate operational activities with Agronomy, Production, and Processing teams to ensure timely execution.

Harvest & Resource Planning

• Plan and coordinate harvest activities, including labor, equipment, and operational resources.
• Monitor harvest progress and adjust plans according to operational needs and field conditions.
• Support processing capacity planning to ensure efficient handling of harvested products.

Equipment & Resource Coordination

• Coordinate machinery availability and maintenance schedules to support uninterrupted operations.
• Monitor equipment readiness and identify operational risks that may affect production.
• Support efficient utilization of agricultural equipment and operational resources.

Operational Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Prepare regular operational reports covering production progress, harvest status, resource utilization, and operational performance.
• Monitor key operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Analyze operational data and provide recommendations to support management decision-making.

Water & Resource Management

• Monitor irrigation activities and water consumption.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving water efficiency and sustainable resource utilization.
• Identify operational issues related to irrigation and resource management.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Agronomy, Production, Processing, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational plans support business objectives.
• Provide production forecasts and operational updates to support sales planning and customer commitments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across agricultural and processing operations.

Tələblər

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in agricultural operations, production planning, farm management, or a similar role.
• Experience in orchard operations, food production, or agribusiness is highly preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience with production planning, operational reporting, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations, irrigation systems, and production processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or farm management systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage.
