Senior System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, administer, and ensure the continuous availability of Windows and Linux server infrastructure;
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), DFS, File Server, Print Server, and other core infrastructure services;
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Server (On-Premises), Exchange Hybrid, Exchange Database Availability Group (DAG), SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Intune platforms;
• Administer Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other core cloud services;
• Manage the Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS / PKI) infrastructure;
• Administer server and endpoint management through WSUS and SCCM/MECM;
• Install, configure, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Proxmox VE virtualization platforms;
• Manage virtual machines, virtual networks, storage integrations, and High Availability (HA) environments;
• Administer HPE ProLiant Gen10/Gen11 servers, HPE OneView, and HPE iLO platforms;
• Manage Pure Storage FlashArray and HPE MSA storage systems;
• Administer Fibre Channel SAN, Brocade FC Switches, iSCSI, Multipath, LUN Provisioning, Snapshot, and Replication technologies;
• Manage Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) and Microsoft SQL Server Always On environments;
• Administer Veeam Backup & Replication, HPE StoreOnce, Synology, and QNAP backup solutions;
• Plan, implement, monitor, and test backup, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions;
• Administer containerization and orchestration platforms, including Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and OpenShift;
• Automate system administration tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash;
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability using Zabbix, OpManager, PRTG, Wazuh, Grafana, and Prometheus;
• Administer Open Source Software-Defined Storage (SDS) solutions, including Ceph, LINSTOR, and DRBD;
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure;
• Prepare, maintain, and update infrastructure documentation and technical procedures;
• Participate in the implementation of new technologies and the continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure;
• Support the implementation and enforcement of information security policies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or in a similar role;
• Strong expertise in Windows Server infrastructure administration;
• Hands-on experience administering Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and SUSE;
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), DFS, Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), and Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS/PKI);
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Server (On-Premises), Exchange Hybrid, Exchange Database Availability Group (DAG), SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, WSUS, and SCCM/MECM;
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Proxmox VE virtualization platforms;
• Experience with clustering, High Availability (HA), and virtualization infrastructure;
• Experience administering HPE ProLiant servers, HPE OneView, and HPE iLO;
• Knowledge of Pure Storage FlashArray, HPE MSA Storage, Fibre Channel SAN, and Brocade Fibre Channel Switch infrastructure;
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Always On, Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), and High Availability solutions;
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, HPE StoreOnce, Synology, and QNAP backup solutions;
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft and open-source infrastructure technologies;
• Practical experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Ansible;
• Proficiency in automation using PowerShell and Bash;
• Experience with open-source monitoring and security solutions, including Zabbix, Wazuh, Grafana, and Prometheus;
• Knowledge of Open Source Software-Defined Storage (SDS) solutions, including Ceph, LINSTOR, and DRBD;
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SIEM solutions;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills;
• Strong technical documentation skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies;
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and technical proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of LDAP, RADIUS, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technologies;
• Experience with automated operating system deployment using PXE, Windows Deployment Services (WDS), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT);
• Knowledge of NGINX, HAProxy, reverse proxy, and load balancing solutions;
• Experience with Exchange Edge, Mail Gateway, and MDaemon Mail Server;
• Experience with GitLab and/or Azure DevOps platforms;
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as SonarQube and Nexus Repository;
• Knowledge of monitoring and log management solutions, including ELK Stack, Graylog, and Loki;
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), RHCSA/RHCE, Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), Fortinet certifications, or ITIL Foundation are considered an advantage.
