Automation Engineer (Industrial Control Systems)

A leading international FMCG company is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join its Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems supporting manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC programs.
• Program automation systems using STL (Statement List), LAD (Ladder Logic), and FBD (Function Block Diagram).
• Configure and maintain automation projects in TIA Portal.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in industrial automation and electrical control systems.
• Support industrial controllers, actuators, frequency converters, and communication networks.
• Maintain and optimize HMI and SCADA systems.
• Participate in equipment commissioning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens SIMATIC S7.
• Strong knowledge of TIA Portal.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus, or similar industrial protocols.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and P&IDs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Languages

• English – Intermediate or above.
• Russian – Intermediate or above.
