Destination Events Manager

Location: Gabala-Baku, Azerbaijan

About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced and proactive Destination Events Manager to support the planning and delivery of Gabala's events and festivals program.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering large-scale events and festivals that help position Gabala as an attractive year-round tourism destination. The role requires practical experience in both event planning and on-site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver event and festival concepts in line with Gabala's tourism strategy.
• Plan and manage large-scale public events, festivals, cultural programs, and destination activation initiatives.
• Manage event budgets, procurement processes, and operational plans.
• Ensure successful on-site event execution.
• Monitor event performance and prepare post-event reports and evaluations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event management, festival management, tourism, or destination marketing.
• Proven experience in organizing and delivering large-scale events and festivals.
• Experience in managing events in regional locations or tourism destinations.
• Hands-on involvement in event execution and on-site operations.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in Azerbaijani and/or Russian, English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering major events and festivals outside Baku.
• Experience in tourism, hospitality, cultural, or entertainment events.
• Experience working with local and international partners.
• Experience creating and managing events that attract domestic and international visitors.
